King's Ozark is an extension of King's Cathedral in Maui, Hawaii. King's Cathedral and Chapels are all part of the vision that God has given to our apostolic leader, Dr. James Marocco. Our plan is to be "One Church in many locations" touching Ozark and the world.
Although raised in two very different households, both John and Jamie Werner were raised in ministry.
Being the eldest daughter of our founders and senior pastors Dr. James and Pastor Colleen Marocco, Jamie was heavily involved in the music ministry at King's Cathedral Maui. At the age of fifteen, she sang and toured with "Straight Way," a successful music group led by King's Branson's Pastor Chris and Melissa Davis. This is where she also took the leading role in many King's plays and performances.
John was raised in the city of Ozark. His family attended Selmore Christian Church and later, Cornerstone Church (now King's Springfield) in Springfield, Missouri. Thereafter, his parents pastored a small church in Browns Spring, Missouri. They also owned The Ozark Preschool and Circle of Friends, continuing for four decades. Because of this, John's childhood experiences helped to develop his love for children of all ages. In addition, John witnessed countless supernatural miracles, throughout his childhood. Through this, his faith in God's divine presence and healing power, as well as his passion for children's ministry, remains strong today.
The couple met while attending Oral Roberts University. Soon after they married, they ministered together, following their specific passions. For ten years, John served as a children's pastor at Nixa First Assembly, in Nixa, Missouri. Jamie ministered in the performing arts as a dancer, actress, and singer in Branson's "Sight & Sound Theatres." In 2014, with their children, Joy, John Leslie, and Jayna, they left Missouri to serve at King's Cathedral Maui. This is where John led their young adult ministry, served as the school superintendent, and later, the church administrator. Jamie, on the other hand, led their worship ministry. Today, they are working together as the site pastors of King's Ozark.
Leaving the performing arts now to her daughters, Pastor Jamie's vision is now for women's ministry. She desires to encourage women of all ages to persevere in the faith and run the race set before them, despite the challenges they may face. Pastor John has an ongoing vision to reach and unify families in the city of Ozark, where people of all ages encounter God's healing power and find their God-given purpose.
Joy serves as the Director of Worship and Creative Ministries, while also leading YA Invade (Young Adults: College and Career). With a Bachelor's degree in Worship and a Masters in Practical Theology, her desire is to lead and train worshipers of this generation and to change their world, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has been involved in the making of two albums; leading worship in multiple places, including Washington DC, New York City, the Virgin Islands, and all of Hawaii. Her writings have been published on YouVersion, and her original songs have been released, touching nations around the world.
John and Hailey serve as the Jr. High and High School Directors, as well as being a vital part of Kid’s Ministry. With a heart to serve the young generation and connect families, Hailey has recently received her bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Social Services from College of the Ozarks. John's discipline and talent has led him to faithfully work toward his degree in Computer Science. However, having a heart for his generation has also given him a strong desire to reach young believers. Together, these newly-weds have a passion to disciple and see the youth of this age come to Christ.
Sarah Yeakey serves as the manager of King’s Coffee and Tea, while also serving on the Young Adult and Administration teams. Sarah is working on a Holistic Nutrition degree and Levi has his degree in Art and Design. Levi is on the media team and helps with all aspects of graphics, video and social media management. They both have a heart for young adults and desire to see revival within this age group. They have a strong desire to see the young married ministry grow and flourish. Their hearts are to serve, so you may often see them serving in other capacities.
Our mission statement is inspired by John 10:10,
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
As a church, our mission and hope is that we would corporately and individually experience abundant life by
1) being connected to God and His people,
2) demonstrating and functioning in His power, as well as
3) pursuing and fulfilling His purpose for His church and our individual lives. Our mission encompasses our core values and serves as a guide in every effort we pursue as a church.
1) PEOPLE
We are a church that loves God's PEOPLE by being personal, encouraging, and equipping.
2) POWER
We are a church that demonstrates God's POWER through prayer, worship, and being Spirit-filled.
3) PURPOSE
We are a church that fulfills God's PURPOSE by serving, impacting, and multiplying.
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." Isaiah 54:2
ENLARGE >> STRETCH >> LENGTHEN >> STRENGTHEN
We are believing for 1200 congregations worldwide while ministering to 120,000 people by May 2025.
This Statement of Fundamental Truths contains the 15 doctrines of King's. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith to which all King's churches adhere. Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are essential doctrines to the church's core mission of reaching the world for Christ. We believe the words of 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10; Acts 2:42). This Statement of Faith does not cover all Biblical truth, only these fundamental doctrines.
THE SCRIPTURES INSPIRED
The Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
THE ONE TRUE GOD
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The scriptures declare:
THE FALL OF MAN
Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.” However, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and thereby ensured not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
THE SALVATION OF MAN
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
THE ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH
THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
All believers are entitled to and should ardently accept and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowing of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.
This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. With the baptism in the Holy Ghost come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, a deepened reverence for God, and intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, and a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost.
THE EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance (Acts 2:4). The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:4-10, 28), but different in purpose and use.
SANCTIFICATION
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
The Scriptures teach a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) By the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to obey the command: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.”
Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, and by faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union, and by offering every faculty continually to be under the dominion of the Holy Spirit.
One aspect of holiness is not doing what is evil.
Another aspect of holiness is seeing all human life as sacred and created by God in His image. The ramification of this truth is lived out in the following ways at King’s Cathedral and Chapels.
THE CHURCH
The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of “the general assembly and Church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven.”
THE MINISTRY
A divinely called and scriptural ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose:
DIVINE HEALING
Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
THE BLESSED HOPE
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.
THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF CHRIST
The “second coming” of Christ includes the rapture of the saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years.
This millennial reign will:
THE FINAL JUDGMENT
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
THE NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH
We, according to His promise, look for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
